DC Lomas Enter the Race of Remembrance

It’s all systems go for DC Lomas as they have committed to race in the 2023 Race of Remembrance in Anglesey in aid of Mission Motorsport.

Mission Motorsport, who’s motto is “Race, Retrain, Recover“, was founded back in 2012 in order to help those members of the Forces affected by military operations by engagement through sport. They quickly realised the astonishing inspirational and healing potential of sport. Motorsport is unique in that the disabled compete against the able-bodied on a level playing field as there is no separate category for disability.

Race of Remembrance

Fast forward to 2014 and a casual conversation between James Cameron and Jon Earp discussing the merits of Motorsport and how this can positively affect members of the Forces and before long a track day was organised with the help of many willing volunteers. Eventually, this idea became a 12 hour endurance race and memorial service held in November to commemorate those lost and injured in battle and before long, the Race of Remembrance was born.

Team DC Lomas

Dean will be representing the team at DC Lomas, up against fierce competition from vehicles such as BMW 116’s and Mini Coopers at Anglesey Race Circuit on the weekend of 10th – 12th Nov 2023. The Fiat Panda will be wrapped in a design comprising of small squares, each of which will be offered as advertising space, the proceeds of which will be donated to St Lukes Cheshire Hospice. In addition to raising funds via advertising for St Lukes Hospice, all funds raised from the Race of Remembrance will be in aid of Mission Motorsport.
